Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary: £31,000 per annum (subject to experience) plus a company vehicle, fuel card.

Job Summary:

Lanes Group, a leading infrastructure delivery partner, seeks a Transport and Compliance Manager to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of our transportation fleet. As a key member of our Transport Division, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive preventive maintenance programs, collaborating with internal and external teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for the transportation fleet.
  • Collaborate with in-house maintenance teams and external service providers to ensure timely and efficient repairs and inspections.
  • Stay abreast of UK transportation regulations and standards, ensuring Lanes Group's compliance with local, national, and industry-specific laws.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Work closely with relevant authorities and agencies to address compliance issues and stay informed about updates.
  • Provide comprehensive training to drivers and other staff on safety procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and clients to address concerns, provide updates, and foster positive relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and compliance activities.
  • Generate reports for Lanes Group management, highlighting key performance indicators related to maintenance and compliance.
  • Collaborate effectively with external vendors for vehicle maintenance and compliance services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of transportation regulations and standards, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
