Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Recovery Driver to join our team at Reed. As a Recovery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a company truck and trailer, transporting customer vehicles to and from garages. Your duties will include loading and unloading vehicles, planning efficient routes for timely collections and deliveries, inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues, and performing basic maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
  • Planning and executing efficient routes for collections and deliveries
  • Inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues and performing basic maintenance tasks
  • Communicating effectively with head office, customers, and team members
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Completing necessary paperwork and documentation for each vehicle

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Extensive driving experience recovering cars
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including paid overtime when needed

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary of £27,000 per annum
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (no weekends)
