The Lead Engineering Manager is expected to consistently exhibit exceptional performance across a wide range of integrated functions in support of the designated Area Manager. The individual in this role will strive to achieve the same agreed and measurable departmental goals as peers in comparable managerial positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- To cultivate a strong work ethic within the team, addressing all facets of personal and team activities while promoting a culture of ongoing improvement.
- To advocate for the adoption of modern working practices and relevant tools aimed at enhancing efficiency within the department.
- To apply methodologies that reduce the risk of knowledge loss due to the movement of key personnel.
- To ensure full compliance with both external and internal mandatory requirements, including timely responses to Safety Bulletins, Technical Bulletins, and other critical documentation.
- To oversee resources within your area of responsibility, ensuring that the department effectively manages both proactive and reactive maintenance tasks.
- To assist engineering managers in planning and executing annual engineering initiatives, ensuring that the department is adequately prepared and resourced to meet ride availability targets and business objectives.
- To support the review and revision of existing departmental procedures, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety legislation and company protocols.
- To collaborate with Engineering Managers in executing business strategies and directives within established timelines.
- To guarantee that all rides and attractions under your purview obtain a permanent operational status prior to commencing operations, and to develop plans for any temporary statuses.
Qualifications & Experience:
This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective maintenance and statutory inspection of all rides and associated equipment during operational periods, with the goal of maximizing ride availability and safety. During off-peak seasons, you will manage your area to facilitate the Annual Inspection of all rides and attractions, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
