Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pathology Coordinator to join our team at Circle Health Group. As a Pathology Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Pathology department by acting as a liaison between the department and other clinical departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Pathology department by coordinating specimen handling, dispatch, and transport, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of laboratory results.
  • Manage the safe handling and maintenance of equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the correct segregation of waste and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with clinical departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure high-quality services are delivered to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Ability to work with numbers for billing and revenue capture purposes.
  • Venepuncture and ECG skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle clinical material in a safe manner.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
