The Lead Engineering Manager is tasked with consistently exhibiting exceptional performance across a wide range of integrated functions in support of the designated Area Manager. It is anticipated that the individual in this role will strive towards the same defined and measurable departmental goals as peers in comparable managerial positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To cultivate a strong work ethic within the team, addressing all facets of personal and team activities while promoting a culture of ongoing improvement.
  • To advocate for the adoption of modern working practices and relevant tools aimed at enhancing efficiency within the department.
  • To apply strategies that reduce the potential effects of knowledge loss due to the movement of key personnel.
  • To ensure full adherence to both external and internal mandatory standards, including timely responses to Safety Bulletins, Technical Bulletins, and Technical Manual Revisions.
  • To oversee resources within your area of responsibility, ensuring that the department effectively manages both proactive and reactive maintenance tasks while remaining adaptable to changes in the operational schedule.
  • To support engineering managers in the planning and execution of annual engineering tasks, ensuring the department is adequately prepared and resourced to meet ride availability targets, business KPIs, and long-term objectives.
  • To assist in reviewing and updating existing departmental protocols, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • To collaborate with Engineering Managers in executing business strategies and directives within established timelines.
  • To guarantee that all rides and attractions within your area achieve a permanent operational status prior to commencement and to ensure timely handover of rides to operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective maintenance and statutory inspection of all rides and associated equipment during the operational season, with the goal of maximizing ride and equipment availability and safety. During the off-season, you will manage your area to facilitate the Annual Inspection of all rides and attractions, ensuring compliance with relevant guidance documents.
