About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join our Water Environment team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading flood risk assessments and hydrological modelling projects, mentoring junior staff, and developing relationships with clients and regulators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead flood risk assessments and hydrological modelling projects, ensuring high-quality results and timely delivery.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their careers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and regulators, ensuring excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the company to deliver projects and achieve business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve our services and deliver exceptional results.

Requirements

  • Strong background in flood risk assessment and hydrological modelling, with a degree in a relevant field (e.g., water resources, civil engineering, environmental science).
  • Proven experience in leading projects, mentoring staff, and developing client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, regulators, and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
