Our client, a prominent UK-based Environmental Consultancy specializing in Hydrology, Ecology, and Environmental Management, is seeking a Lead Flood Risk Consultant to become a vital part of their collaborative team.

Key Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a robust academic foundation in Hydrology, Environmental Management, and Civil Engineering, along with practical experience in areas such as Hydrology, Hydraulic Modelling, Flood Risk Assessment, Water Quality, and Pollution Control.

Experience in mentoring junior staff is advantageous.

Role Responsibilities:
This position provides an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment. Initially, you will be required to work full-time in the office to train and guide team members while overseeing and executing a variety of projects related to Hydrology, Surface Water, Water Quality, Flood Risk, and Drainage for various clients including private sector entities and local authorities.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications.
  2. Performing Flood Estimation using FEH and Winfap methodologies.
  3. Executing Water Framework Directive Assessments.
  4. Carrying out Water Quality Assessments.
  5. Completing Nutrient Neutrality Assessments.
  6. Conducting Hydrological Assessments.
  7. Developing Surface Water Management Plans and Catchment Management Plans.
  8. Utilizing Hydraulic Modelling tools such as Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow.
  9. Formulating Drainage Strategies.
