About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Flood Risk Engineer to join our Water Engineering team at Tetra Tech. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering complex flood risk and drainage projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage flood risk and drainage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and implement integrated flood risk and drainage solutions, incorporating state-of-the-art design and technology.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including hydraulic modellers, engineers, and environmental consultants, to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
  • Proven experience in flood risk and drainage project management, with a strong understanding of relevant guidance and regulations.
  • Excellent technical skills, including experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to project delivery.
  • Security Clearance to minimum SC level (or be suitable and willing to apply for clearance).
