Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Flood Modelling Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Flood Modelling Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and delivering flood risk assessment and management projects, working closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver flood risk assessment and management projects, including the development of flood models and the analysis of flood risk data.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure that our services are always of the highest quality.
- Contribute to the development of our team's skills and knowledge, through training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing.
Requirements
- Minimum degree(s) in Geography, Environmental Management, or Engineering, with a strong technical background and at least 4 years of UK-based industry experience.
- Significant experience in several UK-recognised flood modelling packages, such as Flood Modeller, ESTRY, and TuFLOW.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
