About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Mental Health Assistant Practitioner. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with running groups with a range of disciplines, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
  • Carry out joint assessments with staff to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Assist with writing formulations and discharge reports to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans.
  • Work one-to-one with individuals to deliver interventions under supervision, promoting positive behavioral change and improved mental health outcomes.
  • Attend and contribute to ongoing referral meetings and discussions to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision to access support and continue developing your expertise.

Requirements
  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care/Mental Health or equivalent qualification.
  • Care certificate or relevant equivalent.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health needs, preferably in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) process.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to self-manage time and meet agreed deadlines, with a flexible attitude and willingness to travel independently.
