Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Consultant to join our Adult Mental Health Social Care service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing operational support and guidance to assistant practitioners on duty across our 5 locality teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate and support assistant practitioners on duty, ensuring effective prioritization and risk assessment of cases referred to the locality teams.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to practitioners covering the duty function on a permanent basis.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment, liaising with professionals from within Norfolk County Council and external agencies.
  • Conduct face-to-face assessments and interventions as required, utilizing your ability to drive and access to a vehicle.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in mental health social care, with a strong understanding of the complexities involved.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
