Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Consultant to join our Adult Mental Health Social Care service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing operational support and guidance to assistant practitioners on duty across our 5 locality teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate tasks and provide support to assistant practitioners on duty
  • Manage Protection of Property duties, Crisis assessments, and commissioning of urgent packages of care
  • Initial management of safeguarding referral contacts
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment
  • Supervise some practitioners who cover the duty function on a permanent basis

Requirements

  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge and experience of working with people with mental health needs (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive and have access to a vehicle
