About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Consultant to join our Adult Mental Health Social Care service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a social worker looking to gain experience in management and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Allocate tasks and support assistant practitioners on duty across the 5 locality teams.
  • Manage Protection of Property duties, Crisis assessments, and commissioning of urgent packages of care.
  • Initial management of safeguarding referral contacts and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment, liaising with professionals from within Norfolk County Council and external agencies.
  • Supervise some practitioners who cover the duty function on a permanent basis.

Requirements
  • Registered with Social Work England/or HCPC as a practising social worker/Occupational Therapist.
  • Ability to work under pressure, be well organised, and effectively prioritise and risk assess cases.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with people with mental health needs is desirable.
