Position Overview

We are seeking a Regulatory Engagement Manager for a fixed-term contract within a prominent energy sector organization.

  • Oversee interactions with governmental bodies and regulatory agencies, influencing regulatory decision-making alongside internal teams.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships and coordinate with key internal stakeholders to effectively present the organization's perspectives with solid evidence.
  • Establish methods for sharing information to promote stakeholder intelligence pooling and ensure cohesive messaging across the organization.
  • Conduct horizon scanning and collaborate with governmental entities, regulators, and clients to grasp their priorities regarding system improvements and new policy implementations, providing insights for senior leadership.
  • Identify, escalate, and report significant issues arising from the organization's regulatory engagements, particularly within the Strategy and Regulation division, to senior management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A proven history of relationship building and collaboration across various organizations.
  • Experience in regulatory frameworks or intricate public policy.
  • Exceptional facilitation and organizational skills, with a background in engaging and, when necessary, challenging a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • The capability to prioritize effectively amidst competing demands.
  • A track record of assisting subject matter experts in communicating complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working in multifaceted environments with numerous stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary range of £54,000 - £61,000, along with a car allowance and performance-based bonus.
Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
