About the Role

The Financial Management department at Bank of China is responsible for overseeing the bank's financial activities, including accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. As a Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the bank's financial systems and processes meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regulatory reporting strategies to ensure compliance with relevant frameworks, including CRR, CRD, PRA rules, and Basel III.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Manage the implementation of regulatory changes within financial systems and ensure timely updates.
  • Design and implement data management strategies to support regulatory compliance and business decision-making.
  • Utilize data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau, to analyze complex datasets and identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Lead regulatory IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Provide leadership in troubleshooting, managing system upgrades, and implementing new requirements for regulatory data processes.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure project goals and regulatory requirements are clearly understood and met.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and issues.

Requirements

  • Degree educated in Finance, Business, or other equivalent fields.
  • Solid experience with regulatory reporting systems, data analysis, and IT project management.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks and their application in financial environments.
  • Excellent skills in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting software and IT governance frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of data management practices, including data quality, data governance, and data integration.
  • Ability to lead projects and manage cross-functional teams to achieve regulatory compliance and business objectives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Team player who is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
