Senior Manager - Regulatory Reporting

At Checkout, we're building diverse and inclusive teams around the world to create even better experiences for our merchants and partners. As a Senior Manager - Regulatory Reporting, you'll play a crucial role in owning the control environment for our Group's regulatory reporting. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve gathering data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, and submitting timely reports. You'll commit to staying updated on regulatory changes and be able to interface with regulators. Successful candidates will bring a strong team leadership, accounting, and financial control background. A candidate with experience in building financial reporting and control functions is preferred, as well as having a high level of integrity demanded in an enterprise that operates in a complex, highly regulated environment. You'll bring proven experience in regulatory reporting within the global Emoney or banking sector, experience working in a high volume, fast-growing, multinational company, and experience in regulatory reporting data models, building data definitions, and ability to interpret regulatory requirements into business data requirements. You'll be up-to-date with current regulatory report requirements, preferably FCA, ACPR, USA, MAS (Singapore), and HK. You'll be highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment. You'll have 5+ years of financial or regulatory reporting experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with Compliance, Regional Financial Controllers, and data teams to build the data definitions, control procedures, horizon scanning, and manage the reporting system
  • Gathering data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, and submitting timely reports
  • Committing to staying updated on regulatory changes and being able to interface with regulators
  • Identifying any issues or discrepancies in reporting data and rectifying them promptly directly or with data owners
  • Deciding on, implementing, and maintaining the regulatory reporting system and leading the regulatory reporting team expansion
  • Participating in local or global ad hoc projects as necessary, assisting the global teams to standardize processes and controls that are appropriate for a highly regulated environment
