Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Acting as a Radiation Protection Adviser and Medical Physics Expert in Diagnostic Radiology for the Trust and outside contracts.
- Providing radiation safety advice and services for all uses of ionising radiation in the Trust and diagnostic radiology physics support to the Trust and other organizations.
- Leading the Radiation Safety programme at Mile End Community Diagnostic Centre and cross-site Trust Lead MPE for CT.
The initial key priorities for the postholder are:
- Working with the CDC management team to establish a governance and quality assurance structure for radiation safety and diagnostic radiology physics.
- Leading on CT optimization and liaising with relevant staff groups.
- Developing protocols for assessment of new CT technology and training physics staff in CT performance evaluation.
