About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team as a Senior Principal Physicist, Radiation Safety and Diagnostic Radiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing radiation safety advice and services for all uses of ionising radiation in the Trust and diagnostic radiology physics support to the Trust and other organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have experience in CT optimization and evaluation, providing radiation safety advice in radiology, and managing and supervising staff. They will be able to understand and operate a wider range of diagnostic imaging equipment, analyse complex data, and interpret and apply relevant guidance and legislation.

Person Specification:
- Experience to act as a Medical Physics Expert in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Experience in CT optimization and evaluation.
- Experience of providing radiation safety advice in radiology.
- Experience of managing and supervising staff.
Qualifications:
- BSc (Hons) Physics or equivalent.
- MSc in Radiation Physics or equivalent experience.
- HCPC registered as Clinical Scientist.
- Certificated MPE.
- RPA certificate of competence or ability to submit within 12 months of taking up post.
