We are excited to announce a new opportunity to join the Student Support team as a Senior Performance and Progress Tutor at MidKent College.

This full-time position will be based across our campuses. The successful candidate will take on the responsibility of overseeing a small team of Progress and Performance tutors in collaboration with the PSHE Lead, focusing on the planning and delivery of high-quality PSHE programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the PSHE Lead in ensuring the effective operation of the tutorial program.
  • Contribute to the development of an engaging Personal, Social & Health Education curriculum that aligns with educational priorities.
  • Deliver a specified number of hours of PSHE and pastoral support to students as needed.
  • Manage a team of personal and progress tutors, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with the Student Engagement Coordinator and student support coordinator to maintain consistency in PSHE information across departments.
Candidate Profile

We are seeking a proactive individual with a comprehensive understanding of the PSHE curriculum for post-16 education, including the challenges and opportunities faced by young people today. Experience working with students who speak English as a second language (ESOL) is advantageous.
