Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior PSHE Tutor

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PSHE Tutor to join our Student Support team at MidKent College. The successful candidate will be responsible for line managing a small team of Progress and Performance tutors, planning and delivering high-quality PSHE provision, and supporting the PSHE Lead in ensuring the smooth running of the tutorial programme.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Line manage a team of Progress and Performance tutors, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality PSHE provision.
  • Plan and deliver PSHE activities that meet the priorities set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024, contextualising safeguarding concerns and pastoral education to meet the needs of the curriculum.
  • Deliver a set number of hours a week of PSHE/pastoral support to students as required.
  • Work with the Student Engagement Coordinator and Student Support Coordinator to ensure consistency of PSHE information is being delivered across all departments.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with students with English as a second or other language (ESOL) would be beneficial for this role.
  • Strong understanding of the PSHE curriculum at post-16, including the challenges and opportunities that young people face growing up in modern Britain.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality PSHE provision.
