Study Group is looking for an International Student Success Coach to provide both academic and emotional support to a designated group of international students enrolled in Physics & Engineering pathways. The primary goal is to facilitate their transition and advancement to undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

The successful candidate will join the Progression Team and will report directly to the Student Progress Lead.
As an International Student Success Coach, you will be tasked with delivering tailored academic and emotional support to a diverse group of international learners.

This group will include Foundation students aiming for undergraduate studies and Pre-Masters students preparing for Master's programs.

Support will be provided through personalized meetings where academic performance will be reviewed, and strategies for improvement will be discussed.

The role also involves offering guidance to students experiencing mild welfare issues related to academic pressures, such as anxiety and sleep disturbances.

The ideal candidate will be expected to familiarize themselves with college resources and processes to effectively address student inquiries and direct them to appropriate services.

More serious welfare and academic issues should be escalated to the relevant departments or personnel.

Key qualifications include:

  • Experience in providing academic and/or emotional support to students or young adults in individual or small group settings.
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • The ability to approach student support with empathy and patience.
  • A solid understanding of the challenges faced by university students.
