GSL Education invites applications for the role of Behaviour Mentor within our educational institution in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will engage with students requiring specialized assistance to navigate their behavioural challenges and unlock their academic potential. This position encompasses the creation and execution of individualized behaviour intervention plans, alongside collaboration with educators, families, and other support professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customized support to students facing behavioural difficulties on an individual basis.
  • Formulate and apply effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Assess and document students' progress, modifying support strategies as necessary.
  • Partner with educators to incorporate behaviour support into daily classroom practices.
  • Establish positive rapport with students, nurturing an environment of trust and respect.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians to share updates on student development.
  • Work in conjunction with external organizations and specialists to provide holistic support for students.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the school community.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in mentoring or supporting children and young people.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
  • Ability to maintain composure and patience in challenging scenarios.
  • A sincere commitment to assisting students in overcoming educational barriers.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related discipline are advantageous but not mandatory.
