APPLICATION SUPPORT CONSULTANT

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a key member of our Applications Support team, you will deliver assistance to banking personnel on Core Banking and Online Banking systems, manage configured interfaces, document workflows, support testing phases, and collaborate within a dedicated support team.

Your role will involve close cooperation with managed service partners to ensure exceptional business-as-usual (BAU) support and service management, alongside the broader IT department to facilitate their operations.

Based at our headquarters, you will enjoy the flexibility of working from home up to three days a week.

YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing incidents and service requests submitted by internal clients, focusing primarily on Oracle and Flexcube applications.
  • Collaborating with external partners to resolve production issues as necessary and maintaining a thorough log for incident reporting.
  • Overseeing maintenance and administrative tasks, including parameterization changes through Change Control and Defect Management.
  • Working proactively with development, business change, and testing teams to provide essential support.
  • Monitoring scheduled production batch jobs and following escalation protocols for any job failures.
  • Planning and delivering user training on critical operational processes as needed.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Practical experience in production support with any Core Banking solution.
  • Familiarity with key application parameterizations and third-party integrations.
  • Basic SQL skills; advanced expertise is not required.
  • Foundational knowledge of Unix shell scripting.
  • Capability to communicate concepts, challenges, and risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Oracle Flexcube and/or OBDX systems is advantageous.

Java programming skills would be beneficial.
