About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our integrated Mental Health team at HMP Five Wells. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing excellent clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on the case load onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Conduct risk assessments and engage in multi-professional complex case reviews
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to review referrals and determine appropriate treatment plans

Requirements

  • Registered professional with current registration (GMC)
  • Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry
  • Approved under section 12 (2) of the MHS 1983
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • Up-to-date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD
  • Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy, and legislation
