We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our integrated Mental Health team at HMP Five Wells. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing excellent clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on your caseload. You will also actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead senior mental health clinicians on service developments, and provide clinical supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Lead the development of mental health services, including the implementation of new initiatives and programs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, and conduct risk assessments.

  • A competitive salary up to £172,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • A part-time role with flexible working hours, offering either 2 or 3 working days per week.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Specialist registration in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
  • Approved under Section 12 (2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of adult psychiatry and personality disorders.
