Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our integrated Mental Health team at HMP Five Wells, a category C resettlement prison in Northamptonshire. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on the caseload onsite.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on the caseload onsite
- Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments, and provide clinical supervision
- Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi-professional complex case reviews

Qualifications and Experience:- Registered professional with current registration (GMC)
- Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry
- Approved under section of the MHS 1983
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- Up-to-date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD
- Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy, and legislation
