We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Manager to lead our global composite applications team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for defining and leading a portfolio of strategic customer support projects, certification/approval programs, and technical support activities in support of our global composite business.
Key Responsibilities- Provide detailed technical correspondence and make recommendations to our commercial teams or directly to customers on the specification and best use of materials, production techniques, and equipment.
- Coordinate and provide training and demonstrations to our commercial teams, distributors, customers, and potential new customers in conjunction with other R&D team members.
- Initiate and manage composite approval programs on a global basis, including negotiating the SOW, managing the subsequent test program, and submitting the final test report.
- Work closely with our Formulated Materials Development Team and Resin development team to provide market and customer insight into key development projects.
- Collaborate with Product Management to provide final approval for technical input into all Composite data sheets and other literature.
- A MSc or PhD in Polymer or Materials Related background.
- Strong knowledge of global chemical regulations and their impact on business.
- Proven theoretical understanding and practical application of commonly used composite manufacturing techniques and processes.
- Experience of scaling polymer manufacture to pilot and production scales.
- Adept at managing a portfolio of extended customer and third-party approval projects and programs.
