Clinical Lead Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lead Psychologist to join our Transformation Unit, working in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of psychologists, providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and treatment of children and young people with complex mental health needs.
About the RoleThe Clinical Lead Psychologist will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and treatment of children and young people with complex mental health needs.
- Leading a team of psychologists, providing supervision, consultation, and liaison with other professionals.
- Developing and implementing evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions.
- Collaborating with other professionals, including social workers, teachers, and healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to children and young people.
- Conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy sessions.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Postgraduate doctoral level training in applied psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and lifespan developmental psychology.
- Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialized areas of psychological practice.
- Significant assessed experience of working as a qualified psychologist, preferably in a CAMHS setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
