We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our cancer psychological therapies team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert counselling and psychotherapy services to patients and their relatives, using advanced skills to assess and address their emotional and psychological needs.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans, evaluating interventions and making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for patients and their families.
- Provide training and supervision to staff, promoting best practices and evidence-based care.
- Work independently, using autonomous decision-making skills to address complex patient needs.
- Document patient interactions and progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to the development of our cancer services.
- Postgraduate degree in clinical psychology or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience working in cancer care, with a strong understanding of NHS policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in clinical psychology.
