Position Overview:

Creative Alliance is seeking a passionate and driven individual to become a vital part of our team, providing an excellent opportunity to embark on a career in the live events industry.

In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and setup of technical equipment for various events. This includes ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition prior to events and properly allocating the necessary tools for each project. Post-event, you will assist in the de-prepping process, accurately updating our digital systems, and maintaining the organization of the warehouse to ensure all equipment is kept in excellent condition.

On-site, you will set up equipment, ensuring it is installed correctly and ready for immediate use.

You will gain insights into the diverse range of equipment across multiple domains – including sound, lighting, and video – and learn how these elements collaborate to create a memorable live event experience.

Your responsibilities will encompass:


• Preparing a variety of audio, lighting, video, and special effects equipment for deployment on projects

• Identifying any discrepancies with equipment to ensure completeness and accuracy

• Accurately scanning equipment in and out, updating our systems as required

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving AV system issues before, during, and after events

• Efficiently packing and loading equipment, understanding the proper transportation methods

• Testing, repairing, and maintaining equipment to ensure it is ready for use

• Setting up equipment on-site efficiently and effectively, ensuring all components meet specifications

• Demonstrating strong computer literacy, including familiarity with specialized software used in our operations

• Exhibiting excellent communication and interpersonal skills, engaging with various stakeholders from project managers to clients

• Adhering to all health and safety protocols established by the company both in the warehouse and on-site

Required Qualifications:

GCSE Grade 4/C in both Maths and English

Essential Skills:

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, customer service aptitude, problem-solving capabilities, and teamwork.

Training Opportunities:

You will receive training as a Creative Production Technician through the Live Event Technician Pathway, also known as LET – Level 3.

LETs specialize in setting up technical equipment for live events, focusing on sound, lighting, or video. They possess knowledge of equipment used in various environments and can calibrate systems to deliver high-quality outputs. LETs are responsible for the control, servicing, repair, and storage of complex technical equipment, enabling them to troubleshoot and repair components at a sub-assembly level.

You will learn to interpret system specifications for productions, live performances, and events, which may include sound, lighting, or video systems.

You will also be trained to assemble and configure systems according to specifications for sound, lighting, power, or video.

Responsibilities will include testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment and systems, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the safety of yourself and others through dynamic risk assessments.
