Position Overview:

Creative Alliance is seeking a passionate and driven individual to become a vital part of our team, providing an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career in the dynamic field of live events.

Your role will encompass the preparation and installation of technical equipment for various events. This includes ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition prior to deployment and accurately assigning the appropriate tools for each project. Post-event, you will assist in the de-prepping process, updating our digital systems, and maintaining the warehouse to ensure all equipment is well-kept.

On-site, you will be responsible for setting up equipment, ensuring everything is installed correctly and ready for operation.

You will gain insight into the diverse range of equipment used in different domains, including sound, lighting, and video, while learning how these elements collaborate to create a memorable live event experience.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Preparing a range of audio, lighting, video, and special effects equipment to ensure readiness for projects.
  • Identifying any discrepancies with equipment to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Accurately scanning equipment in and out, updating the system as required.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving AV system issues before, during, and after events.
  • Packing and loading equipment efficiently, understanding the proper transportation methods.
  • Testing, repairing, and maintaining equipment to ensure functionality prior to deployment.
  • Setting up equipment on-site efficiently and effectively, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Exhibiting strong computer literacy skills, including familiarity with specialized software used in our operations.
  • Demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills while interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations both in the warehouse and on-site.

Qualifications:

GCSE Grade 4/C in both Maths and English.

Required Skills:

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, customer service orientation, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork.

Training Provided:

Creative Production Technician – Live Event Technician Pathway, also known as LET – Level 3.

LETs are responsible for setting up technical equipment for live events, specializing in sound, lighting, or video. They possess knowledge of equipment used in various environments and can calibrate systems to deliver high-quality outputs across diverse settings. LETs manage the control, servicing, repair, and storage of complex technical equipment, enabling them to troubleshoot and repair components at the sub-assembly level.

They interpret system specifications for productions, live performances, and events, which may include sound, lighting, or video systems. They assemble and configure systems to meet specification requirements and maintain equipment and systems through testing and troubleshooting.

LETs collaborate with stakeholders and team members, operate and maintain technical equipment, and dynamically assess risks in the work environment, adapting practices to ensure safety.

They also disassemble and store technical equipment safely and efficiently post-event, ensuring the integrity of components is preserved.
