Position Overview:

Creative Alliance is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to become part of our dynamic team, offering a fantastic opportunity to embark on a rewarding career in the audio-visual and live event sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and setup of technical equipment for various events. This includes ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition prior to deployment and assigning the appropriate gear for each project. Additionally, you will assist in the de-prepping process once equipment is returned, meticulously updating our digital systems, supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse, and maintaining equipment to ensure it remains in excellent condition.

On-site, you will play a crucial role in setting up equipment, ensuring everything is installed correctly and ready for immediate use.

You will gain valuable insights into the diverse range of equipment used in different areas, including sound, lighting, and video, while learning how these elements collaborate to create an exceptional live event experience.

Key Responsibilities:


• Prepare a wide array of audio, lighting, video, and special effects equipment to ensure readiness for projects.

• Identify and report any discrepancies with equipment to guarantee all items are accounted for.

• Accurately scan equipment in and out, updating the system as required.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve AV system issues before, during, and after events.

• Efficiently pack and load equipment, understanding the proper methods for safe transportation.

• Test, repair, and maintain equipment as needed to ensure functionality prior to deployment.

• Work on-site to set up equipment effectively, ensuring everything operates according to specifications.

• Demonstrate strong computer literacy, including familiarity with specialized software utilized within the organization, such as our rental management system.

• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, interacting with various stakeholders from project managers to clients on-site.

• Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures, both in the warehouse and on-site.

Requirements:

GCSE Grade 4/C in both Maths and English.

Essential Skills:

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, customer service orientation, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork.

Training Opportunities:

You will receive training as a Creative Production Technician – Live Event Technician Pathway, also known as LET – Level 3.

LETs are responsible for setting up technical equipment for live events, specializing in sound, lighting, or video. They possess knowledge of equipment used in various environments and can calibrate systems to deliver high-quality outputs across different settings. LETs manage the control, servicing, repair, and storage of complex technical equipment, utilizing their expertise to troubleshoot and repair components at the sub-assembly level.
