Job Overview

As a **Site Engineering Specialist** with Interaction Construction, you will be engaged in a variety of civil engineering projects within a 50-mile radius of your location. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of £35,000 along with comprehensive company benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Project Delivery Team to oversee the engineering and technical execution of projects ranging from £10k to £1m.
  • Report directly to the Engineering Manager and assist in setting out and surveying tasks across multiple sites, including highways, earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, drainage systems, and commercial buildings.
  • Utilize a CAT & Gene to accurately locate and mark services prior to excavation.
  • Ensure the accuracy of drawings and material orders, and contribute to the development and maintenance of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality documentation.
  • Address technical challenges in coordination with clients and designers.
  • Engage with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, and the broader project workforce.
Career Development
  • Participate in the ICE Accredited Training Scheme (IEng/CEng) and explore further education and training opportunities.
  • Potential for future transition into Project Management roles.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Possess an industry-relevant HNC/BEng or NVQ equivalent, with a keen eye for engineering details.
  • Ideally, have at least one year of on-site experience as a Site Engineer, with exposure to highways, earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, and drainage.
  • Familiarity with GPS and robotic digital setting out equipment is preferred.
  • Hold a valid CSCS card (can be provided).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
  • A full driving license is required.
  • Experience with project management software is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork abilities while also being capable of independent work.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills to handle a diverse workload and meet deadlines.
  • Possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Maintain a proactive attitude and provide support to team members as necessary.
