We are seeking a Community Relations Specialist to become a vital part of our Construction division, contributing to a significant initiative.

Location: South Devon

Contract: Permanent – Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

In this essential position as a Community Relations Specialist, your role will encompass the management of all community interaction efforts for our expansive site.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Serving as the primary contact for community feedback, ensuring all inquiries are documented and addressed.
  • Distributing quarterly updates to stakeholders.
  • Refreshing the community engagement microsite.
  • Keeping the local contacts database current.
  • Fostering connections with local partners and stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal Community Relations Specialist will possess prior experience in a social impact role and be proficient in MS Office applications. Strong organizational capabilities and effective communication skills with both internal teams and external partners are essential.

This role is particularly suited for individuals who can:

  • Facilitate sustainable job opportunities and assist in retraining programs for individuals transitioning from incarceration.
  • Organize and conduct educational workshops in local educational institutions.
  • Establish partnerships with community organizations, charities, and other relevant entities to identify and implement community initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with our team and supply chain to promote appropriate training that meets social value objectives for apprentices, trainees, and site workers.
  • Develop case studies and best practices for the broader team and compile end-of-project social value reports.
