Site Engineering Specialist - Permanent Position with Competitive Salary and Benefits

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our esteemed civil engineering firm, Interaction Construction. The successful candidate will engage in a diverse array of civil engineering projects, contributing to our reputation for excellence in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Project Delivery Team to oversee the technical execution of projects ranging from £10k to £1m, with potential for advancement into Project Management roles.
  • Report directly to the Engineering Manager, ensuring effective communication and project oversight.
  • Conduct setting out and surveying on various sites, including highways, earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, drainage systems, and commercial buildings.
  • Utilize CAT & Gene equipment to accurately locate and mark services prior to excavation.
  • Review project drawings and take-offs for precision, and manage material orders as necessary.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality documentation for site operations.
  • Address technical challenges in collaboration with clients and design teams.
  • Engage with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Future prospects for transition into Project Management roles.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Possess an industry-relevant HNC/BEng or NVQ equivalent, with a keen eye for engineering detail.
  • Ideally, have a minimum of one year of on-site experience as a Site Engineer, with exposure to highways, earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, and drainage.
  • Familiarity with GPS and robotic digital setting out equipment is preferred.
  • Hold a valid CSCS card (can be provided).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
  • Possess a full driving license.
  • Experience with project management software is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork skills while also being capable of independent work.
  • Demonstrate effective time management and prioritization abilities to meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Maintain a proactive attitude and provide support to team members as needed.
