Overview

The European Strategy Consulting division is an integral part of IQVIA's Global Consulting Services. This team is dedicated to collaborating with clients to facilitate informed decisions in the healthcare and life sciences sectors, enhancing their commercial value and establishing partnerships that optimize return on investment (ROI). Our focus encompasses a wide range of areas, including brand and commercial strategy, value and access, portfolio strategy, corporate mergers and acquisitions, as well as integrated digital health and AI/ML consulting.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate at IQVIA, your responsibilities will include managing or leading multiple consulting initiatives, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery for clients in the pharmaceutical or related sectors by:

  • Overseeing project teams, including both internal and external resources, in the design, development, and delivery of client outputs.
  • Utilizing business insight and acumen to identify strategic options and project methodologies to address client inquiries.
  • Acting as the primary liaison with clients.
  • Conducting follow-ups with clients post-project completion to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Maintaining clear communication throughout project phases and within the team.
  • Contributing to the development of intellectual property for future engagements.
  • Managing the proposal preparation process, ensuring overall bid integrity.
  • Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through follow-on work and lead generation.
  • Expanding knowledge of consulting methodologies and the pharmaceutical market through practical experience and training.
  • Providing guidance, advice, and intellectual leadership to clients and project teams, actively participating in team meetings.
  • Offering high-level input for client reports and presentations, delivering significant findings to clients.
  • Sharing expertise with colleagues to enhance our ability to deliver exceptional solutions for clients.
  • Leading initiatives related to critical personnel issues, such as recruitment and professional development.
  • Mentoring 3-4 junior staff members.

About You
Ideal candidates for the Senior Associate position should possess:

  • Typically, 5-8 years of professional experience in Value & Access strategy consulting within the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare sectors, demonstrating career advancement.
  • Focus on Pricing/Contracting, Market Access, or Evidence strategy.
  • Strong analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A commitment to the life sciences and/or healthcare fields.
  • At least 2-3 years of project management or leadership experience in multinational strategic consulting projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations, meeting facilitation, and report writing.
  • Proven ability to manage large and/or multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience working in sizable, multidisciplinary teams and leading personnel.
  • A track record of building credible relationships with senior managers and executives in the pharmaceutical/healthcare sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others to achieve team objectives.
  • Capability to contribute to business development through lead identification and proposal development.
  • Awareness of key issues and current trends in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
  • Familiarity with consulting methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Additionally, an ideal Senior Associate should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent; a graduate degree or MBA is a plus but not mandatory.
  • A proven record of leadership and talent development.
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
  • Authorization to live and work in the recruiting country.
