Position Overview

Are you a qualified pediatric nurse eager to expand your expertise in a Community Pediatric Nursing Band 6 position?

We are pleased to present a permanent opportunity within the Community Pediatric Nursing Service. We seek a dedicated, experienced, and enthusiastic Children's Nurse who is committed to delivering exceptional care to children and young individuals in community environments. Ideally, candidates should possess a minimum of two years of post-graduate general pediatric experience. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential.

  • Manage a clinical caseload within your competency scope.
  • Assume responsibility for the ongoing assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of specialized nursing care in collaboration with children, young individuals, and their families.
  • Collaborate with the broader multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure safeguarding measures are in place.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with NMC standards.
  • Execute clinical responsibilities, including medication management, blood sampling, and administration of medications via IV, IM, S/C, and CVADs. Provide wound care and support for children and young individuals with complex health needs.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork and the ability to work independently in patients' homes, collaborating with children, young individuals, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
