Position Overview

Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Nurse Specialist - Band 7

An exceptional opportunity has emerged to become a vital member of our Community Pediatric Team, focusing on the neurodevelopmental journey for children under the age of 5 who are referred to our services.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve collaborating with Pediatricians to conduct nurse-led follow-up consultations for neurodevelopmental evaluations that facilitate the diagnostic process. Additionally, you will provide post-diagnostic assistance to families of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ensuring they receive essential information to support their child's ongoing care and developmental requirements. This position also entails conducting annual assessments for children and young individuals up to 18 years old with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

This role requires effective communication with various healthcare professionals to ensure that the pathway for children experiencing neurodevelopmental delays is both efficient and effective, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

The service operates within a designated area, and this position will work in conjunction with another Clinical Nurse Specialist focusing on epilepsy.

The successful candidate will be expected to be knowledgeable about available resources for families within the service area, ensuring that while awaiting a comprehensive assessment, children and families have access to a variety of 'Early Help' services that will aid the assessment process.

About Our Organization

If you possess the expertise, skills, and experience required for this role and are driven, self-motivated, and dedicated to delivering high-quality, family-centered care, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
