Key Responsibilities

1. The position involves providing advanced nursing services to patients in a surgical pre-operative assessment setting. This includes conducting comprehensive health evaluations and coordinating all elements of patient admission. While most assessments are performed digitally, face-to-face evaluations may be necessary based on individual patient requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • A degree or progress towards one
  • Pursuing a Physical Assessment and Clinical Reasoning Certificate

Desirable Qualifications

  • Registered General Nurse Diploma in Nursing ENB 998 or equivalent
  • Physical Assessment and Clinical Reasoning Certificate

Knowledge Base

Essential Knowledge

  • Prior experience or knowledge in history taking within A&E or ITU settings
  • Background in Orthopaedic Nursing

Desirable Knowledge

  • Experience in pre-operative assessments
  • Familiarity with history taking and interpreting blood results
  • Competence in venepuncture
