About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Staff Nurse on our Swift Ward, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our surgical care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing planned surgical operations
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff members and students
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care and service delivery
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Adult Branch Nurse qualification
  • Experience in a surgical care setting, preferably in a planned surgical care environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current clinical and professional nursing issues
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and situations
