Position Overview:

The Technical Product Management team at Oxford Nanopore Technologies plays a crucial role in the development and launch of innovative products, including sequencing kits, devices, and software solutions. This specific position focuses on software product management, where the successful candidate will serve as an Agile Product Owner for the EPI2ME analysis software, a versatile solution for processing Nanopore sequencing data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and technical support teams to create innovative workflows and software solutions.
  • Contribute to the product roadmap in partnership with senior product managers.
  • Oversee Agile processes, including requirements gathering, troubleshooting, and facilitating scrum ceremonies.
  • Collect and translate customer insights into actionable product requirements.
  • Assist sales and marketing teams with product updates and communications.
  • Ensure adherence to release schedules and manage associated activities.
  • Provide regular updates on product and team progress to internal stakeholders.
  • Occasional travel to industry conferences and events may be required.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in biology, a related scientific discipline, or computer science is preferred.
  • A proactive learner with a keen interest in nanopore sequencing technology.
  • 1-2 years of experience in software product management within an Agile framework.
  • Experience in the biotechnology sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with DNA sequencing analysis is preferred.
  • Proficient in using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and customers.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and team leadership abilities.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
