We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to take on a leadership role in our Neonatal Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and be responsible for the running of the Neonatal Unit in the absence of the Unit Manager
- Lead a team of approximately 40 nurses caring for infants born from 27 weeks gestation & 800g
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Recruit, select, and develop staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team
- Registered Nurse (Level 1) qualification
- Recognised teaching/assessing qualification
- Neonatal Qualification in Speciality
- At least 3 years at Band 5 or equivalent
- Clinical audit and standard setting experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
