Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Haemodialysis Team at York Renal Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supporting the development of clinical practice and professional standards within the team.

Main Responsibilities

The role will involve driving excellent clinical quality standards, providing visible clinical leadership, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality, effective, and evidence-based care. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to drive service improvement and development.

About the Role

The Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse will be responsible for supervising and developing clinical practice, providing good leadership and support to staff, and providing holistic, high-quality care to chronically ill patients. The role requires the ability to work under pressure, use initiative, and be flexible to cover occasional shifts at Easingwold and Harrogate satellite units.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience at Band 5 or equivalent, a recognised teaching/assessing qualification, and be registered as a Registered Nurse (Level 1). The candidate must also have insight into clinical speciality and standards of professional practice.
