About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse. As a key member of our community nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading a team of registered nurses and healthcare assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the community nursing team
  • Develop and maintain expertise in palliative nursing within the community setting
  • Assess the holistic needs of patients and their families, considering physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs
  • Effectively prioritize and plan workload, responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating the effectiveness of care given to patients
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, and liaise with other departments and agencies as required
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with experience in palliative care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Flexibility to work unsocial hours and out of office hours
