Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where patients and their loved ones are at the centre of what we do.

About the Role

As a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse, you will work alongside the existing leadership team to deliver excellent care, enabling people to remain at home. You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, management, and coordination of our community palliative care service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain expertise in palliative nursing within the community setting.
  • Maintain high standards of nursing care, putting quality evidenced-based care at the heart of practice.
  • Assess the holistic needs of patients and their families, considering their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
  • Effectively prioritise and plan your workload, and be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating the effectiveness of care given to patients.
  • Maintain accurate written records of care, communicating all necessary information to other team members.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Experience of working in a community palliative care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends.
