About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Hospice@Home team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our nurses and healthcare assistants to provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and management of the Hospice@Home service
  • Ensure high-quality patient outcomes by supporting our nurses and healthcare assistants to deliver high-quality care and support to patients in their own homes
  • Manage risk and balance demands to ensure the effective delivery of the service
  • Drive ongoing service development to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our local population
  • Comply with CQC regulatory standards and undertake specialist learning on commencement in the role
Requirements
  • Experience of leading busy clinical teams and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to manage risk and balance demands to ensure the effective delivery of the service
  • Knowledge of palliative care and experience of working in a community setting
  • Ability to work unsocial hours and be flexible to the changing needs of the post
