About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at St Leonards Hospice. As a key member of our community nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nurses and healthcare assistants in delivering excellent care to patients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of nurses and healthcare assistants in delivering high-quality patient care
  • Develop and maintain expertise in palliative nursing within the community setting
  • Assess the holistic needs of patients and their families, considering physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Contribute to the development of Hospice standards, policies, and research
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid UK nursing registration
  • Experience of working in a community nursing setting, preferably in palliative care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of local area and community resources
