About the Role

We are seeking an experienced L2 Desktop Support Engineer to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing technical support on desktop engineering activities, ensuring the smooth operation of our desktop systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support on desktop engineering activities, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to desktop systems, data networks, and server management.
  • Oversee and update assigned support service requests, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain effective professional working relationships with contractor personnel, co-workers, and clients.
  • Adhere to corporate policies and directives, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Extend computer support for systems software and hardware, including setup and installation of desktop computers and peripherals.
  • Network and connect computers within the organization to enhance communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain computer peripheral devices, such as printers, and resolve associated problems.
  • Level 2 support experience in troubleshooting and fixing audio-visual equipment onsite.
  • Maintain devices inside data centers and resolve associated problems.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in desktop support and executive support.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer hardware.
  • Good knowledge of desktop operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of network management.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Sound knowledge of software deployment through various tools.
  • Sound knowledge of application packaging, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess strong experience in handling issues in Windows OS.
  • Constantly seek to improve technical knowledge and research new product capabilities.
  • Share global threat updates with cross-functional teams to create awareness on an as-needed basis.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Participate in project meetings with customers as needed.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and fixing audio-visual equipment.
  • SC clearance is mandatory.
