Are you ready to take on a new role in a prestigious healthcare environment? We are seeking experienced Consultant Anaesthetists to enhance our sedation services within a leading private endoscopy practice.

Position Overview:

This role offers flexibility with options for full-time or part-time commitments, ensuring a work-life balance with no on-call duties or weekend shifts. The position includes a competitive remuneration package along with private healthcare benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration of intravenous anaesthesia and sedation.
  • Provide comprehensive peri-procedural care.
  • Collaborate with a team of Consultant Anaesthetists to ensure optimal coverage across multiple procedure rooms.
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications Required:

  • Valid qualifications as a Consultant Anaesthetist, including a primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  • FRCA or equivalent with proof of completion of higher specialist training.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Consultant within the UK's National Health Service.
  • Current Adult Life Support certification.
  • Proven experience in administering local anaesthesia, conscious sedation, and general anaesthesia.

Professional Development:

Participation in training, audits, and quality improvement projects is essential. You will also have the opportunity to teach multidisciplinary teams in acute medical and emergency scenarios.

Patient Safety Commitment:

We prioritize a culture of safety and quality in all aspects of anaesthesia care. You will conduct thorough pre-anaesthesia assessments, manage medication protocols, and adhere to infection control policies.

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in English (comprehension, reading, and writing) is required. For international candidates, proof of passing English language exams and provisional GMC registration is necessary.
