Position: Appian Architect – C1 Role

We are seeking a proficient Appian Architect with a strong background in automation design utilizing Appian BPM and Appian RPA. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating with third-party systems through Appian Smart Services, along with expertise in backlog refinement, story pointing, estimation, business process modeling, and deployment.

This role requires hands-on experience with Appian, including comprehensive knowledge of Process Models, SAIL Interfaces, Web APIs, Sites, Process Model as a Service, Admin Console, Document Management, and Integration Smart Services.

The candidate should hold an Appian Certified Lead Developer certification on the latest Appian versions (L3 certification). Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment models, Test Driven Development, Behavioral Driven Development, and BFSI domain knowledge is advantageous.

Experience in automating Appian support or BAU activities, plugin development, and Appian server installations will be considered a plus.

The Appian Architect will be responsible for conducting code reviews and contributing to the Appian Center of Excellence (CoE) by establishing new standards, guidelines, and best practices.

Prior experience in developing SOAP and RESTful web services and integration is preferred.

Overall IT Experience: 10 years, including proficiency in other BPM tools such as PEGA, Unqork, IBM BPM, Signavio, and Open Text.

Appian Experience: 5 years.

Role Purpose:

The primary objective of this technical architect role is to ensure successful system design and implementation that meets client needs. A top-tier technical architect possesses extensive knowledge of enterprise networking systems, advanced problem-solving skills, and project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the IT manager to assess the company's current and future requirements.
  • Evaluating whether the existing system can be upgraded or if a new system is necessary.
  • Providing innovative design ideas and schematics to enhance system functionality.
  • Managing the design and implementation phases of the system project.
  • Engaging with software developers to address system software requirements.
  • Troubleshooting system issues as they arise to ensure seamless operation.
  • Overseeing all components of system integration.
  • Assessing the performance of upgraded or newly installed systems.
  • Training personnel on system procedures and protocols.
  • Delivering post-installation feedback to the company.

Technical Architect Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Previous experience as a technical architect.
  • Managerial experience is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise systems, networking modules, and software integration.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
  • Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, and office software.
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Capability to visualize comprehensive designs from basic specifications.
  • Proficient in solving complex IT challenges.
